I have a two year old Cane Corso that was really becoming difficult to manage. Six weeks with Kris at Taylor Made Working Dogs and I picked up a completely different dog.He actually listens now, walks without pulling, and holds a stay when I need him to. Couldn’t be a bigger fan of Kris and the team at Taylor Made. I had just lost a Gsd and i needed to make sure we had a dog with the right temperament and training. He made sure to match me with the right dog and the training he provided it was fantastic. He was patient with all of our questions, thorough with the training/education for my wife and I and he’s been extremely responsive every time I have a question. He genuinely cares about these dogs and it shows. Willie has integrated into our home seamlessly, we know he’ll be great with our future kids and we couldn’t be happier. I meet Kris years ago via a mutual “dog” friend when I got my first dog from him. He’s very knowledgeable and actually cares about the right fit for the dog and family. In fact, we just got a second dog from him for my daughter. Again, he made sure it was a fit for both. I would highly recommend Kris. There’s no way you can go wrong. We adopted our Rottweiler puppy, Meli, 13 months ago, and Kris Taylor and the team at Taylor Made Working Dogs have been instrumental from day one. From the very beginning of the adoption process through raising a high-energy puppy, Kris was always available—often via text—whenever I had questions about behavior or needed guidance on how to encourage or correct something. We’ve done both puppy board-and-train and adult board-and-train programs, and the results speak for themselves. Our friends and family are constantly amazed that a 13-month-old Rottweiler can be this obedient, focused, and well trained. There’s no way we could have made it through the past year without Kris and his team. Meli also LOVES Taylor Made Raw dog food. She’s been on it since she was a puppy and has grown into a healthy, strong dog who genuinely gets excited for mealtime. On top of that, we board her at Taylor Made when we travel—and she is thrilled every time. Once she realizes where we’re going, she can’t wait to jump out of the car and be with Kris and the team. We’ve worked with other trainers in the past, and lesson learned. Meet Kris Taylor

Kris Taylor is one of the most experienced protection dog trainers in the United States.

Raised in a family deeply involved in German working-line breeding, Kris began competing in Schutzhund at an early age and earned his first title at just twelve years old. Over the following decades he developed a career in working dog training that spans more than fifty Schutzhund and IGP titles across multiple dogs.

Beyond competition, Kris served ten years in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger and Special Forces operator, working alongside elite military units and canine programs. His academic background includes a PhD in Biology, bringing scientific understanding to genetics, temperament, and long-term canine development.

Every protection dog placed through Taylor Made Working Dogs is personally trained by Kris. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is delegated.
