That’s why Taylor Made Working Dogs specifically caters to boarding bully breeds, Dobermans, German shepherds, Rottweilers, Malinois, and livestock guardian breeds. We understand the needs of military and police K9 and sport handlers that need a secure location for there dogs.

Taylor Made Working Dogs is a protection dog and advanced obedience training facility in Ramona, CA, with kennels designed for active breeds. Each of our kennels has a 4-foot by 8-foot indoor area with connected 4-foot by 21-foot outdoor areas with 8 foot privacy walls and fencing, allowing your dog to move around throughout the day and enjoy freash air and exercise.

We have three separate boarding areas for dogs. We understand that some dogs are stressed out by other animals or have dog aggression issues. These areas are safe, secure, and secluded from our other dogs , keeping stress levels down for all our guests.

Finding reliable, safe, and stress-free boarding for large breeds, working dogs, or sport dogs can be difficult — especially if your dog is active, drivey, or has specific needs. That’s why Taylor Made Working Dogs was built to offer exactly what other boarding facilities lack: a secure, purpose-designed environment that caters to high-drive working dogs, large breeds like Malinois, Dobermans, Rottweilers, German Shepherds, LGDs, and more — while still being welcoming to smaller family dogs, too.

Located on a fully fenced, double-gated 5-acre facility in Ramona, CA, our kennel spaces are designed with comfort, safety, and movement in mind. Each dog has a private indoor 4’ x 8’ kennel connected to an outdoor 4’ x 21’ run — complete with dog doors, allowing them to move freely between indoor and outdoor areas all day.

We have three separate kennel zones to support dogs with different social needs, including those who prefer to be completely separate from other dogs.

Our experienced staff are specifically trained to work with high-drive, large, and working dogs, including protection-trained, military, and law enforcement K9s — but we also welcome well-behaved family dogs and small breeds, who are housed in a calm, home-style environment away from the larger dogs to reduce stress.

Someone is on-site 24/7 — your dog is never left unattended.

What’s Included

At most boarding facilities, services like walks, playtime, and medication cost extra. At TMWD, we consider those things essential to your dog’s wellbeing. Every dog’s stay includes:

15-minute daily walk
30 minutes of outdoor play in our secure training yard
Medication administration
Multiple daily feedings
Kong toy, dog igloo, and dog bed in every kennel
Private indoor/outdoor kennel access all day
24-hour staff presence
Temperature-appropriate kennel spaces

Large Dogs (Over 30 lbs)

$80 per night
$60 per night for a second dog in the same kennel
Monthly Rate (10% discount):
- $2,160 for one dog
- $1,620 for a second dog in the same kennel

Small Dogs (Under 30 lbs)

$50 per night
$37 per night for a second dog in the same kennel
Monthly Rate (10% discount):
- $1,350 for one dog
- $1,012 for a second dog in the same kennel

Military, Law Enforcement & First Responders

Large Dogs:
- $68 per night
- $51 per night for a second dog
- Monthly Rate (10% discount):

Small Dogs:
